Trust

The emotional center of our heart holds so much wisdom. It holds the vastness of our experience and the invitation to embrace our deepest desires, instincts, archetypes and emotions. Can we trust that we can welcome in all of who we are? Can we trust that we deserve to give and receive love. Can we allow our whole self to be seen - the parts of ourself that we already show to the world and the parts we hide, and maybe even hide within ourselves?

Our mantra for the week is...

I am learning to trust my inner wisdom

I am open to listening to the emotional wisdom of my heart

Our journaling prompt is…

Do I struggle to trust myself? In what way does this show up in my life?

What are some examples of positive experiences with trust in my life?

What are some qualities of a trustworthy person? How can I cultivate these qualities in myself?

And our meditation is...

Find a comfortable seat. This can be sitting on the floor, in a chair. This can be laying down or even standing with support. You can choose to keep your eyes open or close them gently.

Take a few breaths. Breathe in. Breathe out. Notice the sensation of your breath moving in and out of your body. Bring your hands to rest gently over your heart. Feel the movement of your chest beneath your hands and maybe even connect to the gently rhythmic beating of your heart.

Say these words and feel your heart respond.

I am breathing in.

I am breathing out.

What is it that you need me to know, heart?

What is it that you need me to hear, heart?

Listen to the answer. Holding your heart as you would hold a friend, listen without judgement, with compassion, with kindness, with gentleness.

Notice what listening feels like in your body, in your heart.

Say these words again and feel your heart respond.

I am breathing in.

I am breathing out.

What is it that you need me to know, heart?

What is it that you need me to hear, heart?

Listen and be with your heart as long as you need.

Pause and allow yourself plenty of time to slowly return to your day.
